Praise From The Experts

Lisa Haskins exemplifies how recovery is possible after an abusive relationship. From her own experience of healing, she has created her Recover and Rediscover course and expertly guides others through the process.  Lisa integrates the foundations of stress psychology, brain research, positive psychology, yoga and mindfulness along with the practical tools needed to make these sciences and practices accessible in the lives of those who are on the path of recovering a sense of trust in themselves and rediscovering who they are.

Tal Ben-Shahar, PhD

He taught two of the largest classes in Harvard University’s history, Positive Psychology and The Psychology of Leadership.

Lisa Haskins is an outstanding teacher and guide. Having survived a toxic relationship, she had the courage and inner strength to open to her own pain and suffering and transform it into wisdom and compassion.

She teaches from her own experience how to see into and let go of the mind’s stories and judgments of inadequacy and lack of self-worth to help women see and experience their inner truth and goodness–and live with greater ease and resilience.

I wholeheartedly recommend Lisa and her Recover and Rediscover course.

Hugh Byrne, PhD

Author, The Here And Now Habit

Lisa Haskins uncovers the veils of secrecy and shame that haunt those who have been in relationship with men or women who are abusive.  Her honesty, wisdom and bravery in addressing the myths that make full recovery impossible and her generosity in sharing what actually does work to build resilience and a new way of living makes this a deeply impactful work. We often think of resilience as just getting through or surviving, and actually the path to resilience is far more. It is about using the very awakening to unhealthy patterns as the leverage point to create positive, sustained healthy change; in other words, to rise.  Anyone who is caught in damaging relationships will benefit from her lived experience and guidance.

Lisa is a gifted teacher and healer who transforms the lives of women who are recovering from a toxic relationship.  As a psychotherapist, I often meet new clients who have been abandoned by a narcissistic ex or who have had no choice but to leave one.  As I sit with them and hear their harrowing stories, I know they will heal best if they can connect with someone who has been right where they are…who has navigated the murky uncertain waters of life after abuse and control… I introduce them to Lisa.

I know there is no one else quite like Lisa who can boost a women’s shattered self-esteem, guide them back towards the core of who they are so they can trust again, and show them how to tap into their resilience.  Lisa’s approach is both personable and compassionate. In her program, Recover and Rediscover, she provides the incremental baby steps needed to rebuild and renew life after abuse and suffering with a narcissistic partner.  If you are suffering in silence after the wreckage of a toxic relationship, feeling as if “nobody gets it”, I highly recommend Lisa’s Recover and Rediscover healing course.

OMG Lisa you seem to capture it all! How do you know so much and be able to put it into words that seem to relate completely to my experience. Thank you for your emails. I’d like to send this info to every single counselor I have spoke to over the last 20 years who never identified the narcissistic abuse.

The workshop was well organized and presented. Lisa was helpful and gave good examples and was a good listener. I appreciated the list of references so I can do more work on my own. A much-needed workshop for those of us with busy lives. There are all kinds of things to distract us all from reflecting on how we live our lives. J.W.

Powerful Workshop! Lisa is passionate about helping women understand the need to set healthy boundaries in their lives. In this workshop, we practiced identifying and expressing our feelings with assertiveness in a wide range of situations. How many times have I wished I had asked for something from (or responded to) a family member, friend, or colleague with confidence in a simple, direct manner? It was helpful to practice and communicate my feelings with feedback from Lisa and the other women in my group. Understanding and creating boundaries is an essential skill that many women struggle with, and I would recommend this workshop to everyone I know. K.C.

Lisa is an anomaly.  After surviving stage 3/4 spousal abuse, Lisa became the epitome of the phrase “No More”! Her ability to absorb, dissect and share information and knowledge of personal growth and survival is a true testament to the fact that with the right frame of mind and the appropriate steps forward, human beings are able to maneuver through the darkest days.  When we feel there is no hope or no options, she guides us through passageways to survival, peace, and a new path to a new life. Lisa’s workshop provided a healing space where I could be quiet for a moment from my over-scheduled life to help me to identify the barriers in my life that keep me from being who I want to be. Lisa gave me practical tools I could try right way and I left  invigorated to begin anew that very day! M.E.

I think the best part of the workshop was the concrete questions you provided and frameworks on how to structure conversations. I like the vocabulary list, the sentence frames, and the suggestion to explore the fears beneath why we have trouble with boundaries. Thanks for providing some space to engage in self-care and practice some vital skills! J.W.

From my experience with Lisa Haskins as a professional educator, I believe she is an amazing life coach because she leads from example. I have observed her coach people through difficult life circumstances all the while admitting her own weaknesses, facing her own challenges with grace and confidence, and achieving every goal she sets before herself. Those who know her admire the peace and wellbeing she achieves through assertive boundary setting in both her professional and personal life. Her workshop helped me personally to be more assertive, and I would recommend her workshops to anyone struggling with boundary setting in their own life. J.G.
